Litania is a 38' narrow boat. Equipped for day trips for up to 10 people, she has large windows, cushioned bench seats in the saloon and a large fore deck with side benches. With a "semi traditional" stern, there is also safe seating at the back during cruising.

Heated for all year round use, she has a small galley with a gas hob, fridge and sink unit. There is crockery and cutlery for 10, who can sit comfortably around the two fold away tables. There is a small flushing toilet with wash hand basin.

Litania can be used for day cruises, training in canal and boating skills, and as a floating classroom. Based in the Somerset Coal Canal, there is good parking and level access to the canal side for ease of boarding.

Our work includes providing for boaters in the Dundas area of the Kennet & Avon Canal. We can take supplies easily as, being so short, Litania can turn around with no problem! We also work with the Gypsy, Traveller and Boater outreach team in Bath. She is used for a unique "Alpha Afloat" and as a drop-in café once a month.

Spacious interior - with or without the tables in place!

The Coal Canal itself has a café and public (including accessible) toilets.

Litania is licensed with the Canal and River Trust as a training and day boat and is covered by third party and public liability insurance. She is an accredited RYA Sailability centre, which means we are equipped to cater for those with disabilities. Maintained to the highest standards, Litanian has commercial boat safety certification and appropriate safety equipment, including life jackets, for all those on board as necessary.

Extra details have been added to help those with mobility problems move around the boat safely. All appropriate safeguarding and safety policies and volunteer vetting processes are in place to give the highest confidence to any user group with children or vulnerable adults with details available on request.
