What a privilege & honour it is to be involved in Canal Ministries. We knew God wanted us on the waterways, but we didn’t know we would be involved in something as exciting as this, and feel we have been truly blessed!

Henry & I have been living on our narrow boat since March 2005. We initially moored on the Grand Union Canal in Harefield, Rickmansworth and Watford area. While in that area, we met several boaters in a lot of need and helped many of them in practical ways. We have made a lot of friends in Rickmansworth, some of whom have a lot of sadness from their past, and we help them in the best way we can.

We went on our first boat mission, with about 12 other boaters, in Nottingham in September 2005, under the sponsorship of the Boaters' Christian Fellowship. Following this mission, we were asked to join Canal Ministries, which was formed in the October just after the Nottingham mission. This was an answer to prayer for us, because that was the reason we went to live on a boat... to reach out to the people and share God's love on the waterways.

The Boaters' Christian Fellowship and Canal Ministries organize a boating mission in different places every two years, and we have enjoyed being part of every mission and seeing people accept Jesus into their heart.
