Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Dear Friends,

Where has the time gone? Last time we wrote it was the summer - now we find ourselves in the middle of winter!

I take comfort that even if time does seem to pass quickly, it actually goes at exactly the same speed as it did when we were children; when the summer holidays, bathed in warm sunshine, lasted forever, it seemed. During the autumn we were delighted to be able to take out several folk for day trips on Spring Water. We wanted to share the blessing God has given in Spring Water with others by taking them out on her.

On a trip day, we meet all those who are going at the marina, where she is moored, and once everyone is ready, we cast off and cruise for about 2 hours. On the way it is my joy to offer sandwiches, tea, coffee and cake before we arrive at a winding hole. There folk can enjoy a coffee or ice cream at the café situated there and/or go for a short walk to a site of historic interest. Once everyone is ready, we begin the cruise back to the marina. Whilst cruising, some folk have a go at driving the boat, which they love.

The cruises stopped through the winter, but we intend, with God's help, to start them up again in the spring. And praise Him, we already have a list of folk wanting to come along. Apart from this, we have been able to assist several boaters with different needs on the canals, which has given us opportunity to share the love of Jesus with them. Praise the Lord!

You may or may not know that we are new to the area in which we now moor and, therefore, we have needed to find where the various organisations are that may be able to assist us locally. We are grateful to the Salvation Army near us, who helped us assist a boater recently.

We are looking forward to meeting up with the Canal Ministries Team and Trustees at our annual conference at the end of January. During this time, we shall take part in worship, prayer, Bible teaching, food and fellowship. We pray that in all we do and say God will be glorified.

As I close this update, we pray that you would know the tender compassion of God our Father moving in your life; that you would daily recognise the amazing love Jesus has for you and that His Holy Spirit would lead you and guide you into this new year. To our Almighty God and Saviour be all the glory forever and ever. Amen!

Every Blessing in Him
